Lunch at Tabla

Today, I went for lunch at a new Indian Restraunt called Tabla. I should say that the restraunt was pretty far off, but, I thought the trip was worth it. Perhaps, I feel so now, because the food was different from what I ate till now. Perhaps, it was the group that went. It was a big group with 7 people. Me, Mrigank, Snigdha, and Tejas reached there first, followed by Malik, Swami and Harish.

On our way back, I decided to try a new way. With my friends not knowing that I am taking a chance with the route, I went to Highway 161, hoping to get an exit to Highway 635 East. To my relief, it came :), and the fact that I was taking a chance never surfaced :).

Vikram had an accident

It was an unfortunate day today, as my dear friend, Vikram met with an accident. With god's grace nothing happened to him, but then, the car was damaged. Luckily, it was just the hood, and the fenders that took the damage. Also, the radiator was leaking, but the damage was limited to that. The engine was not even touched!!!. We all are working towards getting the car back on track. You know.... I believe in true friendship, it really hurts you when something bad happens to your good friend. Well... I am glad that things did not go worse!!. I have herd a lot about accidents in US, and this, I should say, perhaps cannot be even considered as an accident.

REO Concert by KVIL 103.7

It was Friday evening, and Snigdha called me up to ask me whether I wanted to go for a concert. Not knowing much about what happens in a concert, and thinking that it will be boring, I told her that I dont want to come. Besides, there was some job to be completed. But then, I finished up my job in like 15 mins, and thought, of checking out the concert -- Something I am glad that I did :).

Me, Snigdha and Mrigank reached the Grand Prarie (Place where concert was happening) at 6:30. The place was so very lively. I instantly liked being there. We then went to have food, and when we came back, the concert was about to start. The next 4 Hours, it was just amazing!! Total blast of music - The music was so very loud that I could not even hear what Snigdha, who was just standing besides me, was saying. Every one were so verymuch dancing, smiling... the place was just ROCKING!!!

Night, by like 12:00, I reached back home. :). It was now gaming time. :). That was fun too!!!.

A New Computer (Desktop)

Today, I bought a new computer. Well... the parts, and then, assembled. While the excitement was building up on whether the system will fire up once finished (for fear of having fried mother board/processor/memory with static), I enjoyed putting those compoments together. Finally, the comp was plugged in, and the power turned up to hear that "All OK" beep of POST. Well, but all was not OK. I got a seagate HDD (200GB) for 50$. But, was having trouble setting it up, as the factory default was NOT on master. Well, that was resolved, only to give me another BIG problem. At some time, I had unknowingly cancelled a format :). Ya :).. I did that :D. So, basically, one part of the disk was in one geometry, and the other part in some other geometry. To resolve the issue, I did a low level format, and things came good :). Thanks Patty, for helping me out with selection of components, and also, with assembling of the system.

Evening with Room mates, seeing Dhoom

Today evening we all went to see Dhoom. The movie was really nice!!. Hey... if you are a family person, the first thing that comes to your mind, I guess, when someone tells it is a good movie, is to see the movie with you family. Baaaddd Idea!!! :). This movie is really good, good songs..etc, but think twice before you take your kids with you to the movie :).

I should say, for people who have watched Mission Impossible, many things will seem to be similar.... I thought it is just me who felt that way.. but :)... my friends too had the same opinion.

After the movie, we all came back, and had the wonderful dinner that swamy had made!!!.
